12 BTB matches, two hours of time and not one single game of total control šŸ™„

You do realise we’re talking about weekly challenges right?

I wasn’t referring to the weekly challenge, I don’t even know what it’s about, I’m referring to people who complain about the season pass progression being too slow because they want to complete everything very quickly then after some days or weeks they start complaining again because ā€œthere’s nothing to do in this gameā€

And even if you skip a weekly challenge, well it’s not a big deal at all, it was probably gonna give you a mostly ugly piece of armor anyways

Bros just quit when you don’t get the correct game mode. There is no reason not to. I leave every single game I get on Launch site immediately. F*ck that boring map and the snorefest of one flag.

There’s unlucky, and then there’s ā€œby designā€.

I’m not saying people doesn’t have extreme bad luck, but I’d still argue we’re dangerously close to being in the ā€œby designā€ territory.

Myes, idealy one would like to complete all weeklies in a week.
And really? Why did we move to personal territory?

You don’t even…
Why are you commenting if you have no clue what it’s about???

People have been giving ā€œreportsā€ on not getting the game mode they need for an extended number of matches after they’ve gotten a game mode specific challenge.
It can be a crazy coincidence but it also feels as if it is by design, that when you get a game mode challenge, your game mode weighting is altered to give you modes you don’t require.
That’s far from being ā€œimpatientā€ and wanting to complete things as quickly as possible.
It’s about the possibility that i343 intentionally made a system, or have a glitch in the MM for some reason, which prevent you from getting a mode you need. How everything is set up, with no game mode specific playlists, tracking a few select challenges at a time, and challenge Swaps sold for money, it is possible that’s the case. I wouldn’t put it past them considering Activision has patents on shady systems meant to increase MTX sales, one which influence the matching of players directly.

I’m fairly certain players would be perfectly fine with waiting 5 or 6 matches before getting the mode they need, but 12 matches in a row, and upwards? Or heck, in my case, 12+ matches needing both CTF and Stockpile, getting neither.

Impatient…
I want to know if there’s something influencing the matches I get based on what I need for the challenges I’ve got.

Tell that to the person match hopping 16 matches to get Oddball, and instead got banned.

RIP buddy. I didn’t know you could be banned. I’ve left 6-7 in a row more than once before with no issues. Just lucky I guess.

Yeah there’s been a few of those.
Then players getting banned when the game crashes mid-match.

I never went after the challenges, and I get all modes regularly. Not sure if that means something, but I am leaving it here just in case.

Same for me. I just play and assume most challenges will complete by themselves.

Not one TC match is some damn bad luck though man, you probably have some good karma build up now so I would buy some lottery tickets if I were you.

To me it seems ridiculous, no offense but you are in conspiracy theory territory here. And it wouldn’t make sense because while you have a oddball challenge, someone else in your lobby could have a ctf challenge, another a strongholds challenge etc. so if the system is rigged as you claim, no one would be able to play the game mode they need and you can clearly see that it literally doesn’t make any sense

But even in the case that it takes you 3-4 days to complete a weekly challenge, is it really a big deal? You’re talking about it as it is some kind of GAME BREAKING GLITCH, chill out

This. We all have our frustrating moments but no use in scheming about sinister plots to get every last nickel from your pocket

It’s honestly one of the ones I used a swap on. I really feel like this challenge was placed there on purpose. It’s insane. I was also gaming for hours. I would be ok if it said play 3games, but to win three?! That’s just terrible. I would have had to find a solid 8 people at least who would play the objective seriously.

Yep this is a problem at the minute regarding the way the challenges work. Im currently waiting on a Strongholds game, fortunately the challenge reward this week sucks so I’m more bothered about the challenge for the bonus xp but its still frustrating and kind of encouraging people to quit just so they can get the game mode they need and get the easy challenges out of the way with…

Incredible, just got 3 consecutive total control games on btb.
What is it They say… better late than never. :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

The weeklies aren’t even good additions to customize options tho. I really haven’t seen a decent reward in there.

100% the whole game is designed to annoy you.

You may be right but I’ve grown cynical over this stuff, particularly when other developers, like ones that used to make Halo, have been busted specifically for such behind the scenes rigging.

Yesterday I needed a stronghold game. I played for about an hour or two and didn’t get one game. so I turned off the xbox and said to myself - can’t be bothered.
Went on today to play some ranked purposely not trying to do the challenge on stronghold.
I got three stronghold games in a row.

343 knew I turned my xbox off in disgust.
Ive been wearily looking around my room all day for the camera.

Best not to focus on just trying to get those objectives done and just playing the game. It’ll make the experience better in the long run.
