$1035 to unlock all cosmetics in first season

It was leaked it will cost $1035 to get all of the armor that is locked unless bought in there store. A lot of these armors were free in previous halo games. They pulled them from the battle pass so you would have to buy them separately in the store. This will only get worse later on if people don’t stand up to these terrible monetization schemes pulled by 343 and Xbox.

That is how shops do tend to work.

They have various items because consumers have various tastes.

How much does it cost just to put together a single set by chance? I ask because I highly doubt anyone will buy everything the store has to over…

Yeah, it’s funny how shops are no longer really used for what they were actually intended for. Actual F2p games to support the company and the content they created.

Here is a fun fact. This Halo is not the only one that has a shop. I can only imagine how much money they will bring in vs the content created for this game.

Seriously predatory monetization system they’ve setup with Infinite. So sad because the game is really good, but I got burned out in less than a week because the progression/monetization is so messed up I don’t even want to support it. Such a disappointment.

Good thing the game is free and you can enjoy every aspect of it without having to worry about spending a dime customization. People keep sharing this like they’ll be forced to drop this kind of money.

Take a breath.

Why do you need every single cosmetic item for sale?

Do you go into a clothing store and get angry that you can’t afford to be every single item of clothing for that season?

It’s just cosmetics, you don’t need any of them let alone ALL of them. None of it will have any effect on your gameplay, and you are getting free cosmetics starting tomorrow anyway with the first fracture event. There’s also many more fracture events planned that will also offer free cosmetics…

So I’ll ask again, why do you feel the need to own every cosmetic item available in a game? I think that’s the issue you should be focusing on.

While customizing is a staple since h2 I can agree it also comes down to personal choice as well i Remember when mcc season 5 was teased not a lot of folks wanted to get the armor while some did (me included) so it’s a delema for some with infinite

Maybe people are upset that they use to be able to work to unlock all the armors. If they wanted to switch to their armor they could work and unlock more armor. With the system we have if you want to switch to a certain armor set you have to wait and hope the bundle shows up, there pay for it. It’s a change people don’t like, so naturally they’re unhappy. This comparison to a clothing store isn’t apt. There was never a point in time where you used to get access to any clothes in target that you wanted if you spent time playing games in the store if anything.

Also, I know the game is F2P now, but that doesn’t mean people are happy with how it was monetized. I would pay money for items that added to the customization we used to have. But what we have is less than what we used to even if we pay. I literally can’t get colors I like even if I pay money. If they built on previous games customization I think less people will be upset. Plus, no one asked them to go F2P.

I think it is very misleading to have a season called “Heroes of Reach,” make all of the Reach armor, and not have all the Reach armor in the Heroes of Reach Battlepass. I would MUCH rather level 150 times than play $20 for a helmet or some shoulders I had in Reach. Some of those items are made doubly shady by the fact that they exist in armor kits, but you have to BUY them individually. For example, we should get Emile’s shoulders from his kit to use on our spartan however we deem fit. But we can’t. We have to pay I think $10-20 was the price?

Well as it stands i wouldn’t pay a penny towards the Battle Pass to instant unlock, as it is the only thing i’m unlocking at this point… If you instant unlock the BP (Especially at the currenty moment) you’re essentially removing any point in playing haha.

$1836429-4 to buy everything at the local supermarket
Nobody is making you buy literally everything, and you can’t equip everything at the same time. You probably won’t even want 90% of the stuff anyway, but you might want one or two cool new things they add per month. They made a lot of different cosmetics to appeal to people with different tastes. Out of the entire current Battle Pass, the only thing I want is the flame effects, and I don’t care about the rest.

I understand the store is staying and I’m ok with that because I understand it’s f2p. But don’t charge us twice for armor we already unlocked with the legendary armor kits. People have just been trained to be ok with these practices because other games have done it. That’s why 343 will get away with it

Hot take but I never really understood why people are so hung up about unlocking the entire arsenal.
Just to preface, I am not defending the cost to buy every single item in the game because I know there are people that do want to have em all.
but I’ve always seen people say defend say linear progression cause “oh it takes so much longer in Reach to buy everything than it did to work on a battle pass” when I was perfectly content leaving the original Halo Reach with like 20% of the armory unlocked. Now I will say that yes having so much be locked behind paid only bundles sucks incredibly hard but being hung up on unlocking them all is a bit… strange? Do you intend to even use all of them? idk.

Whale hunting is so profitable that every game studio is doing it now. Doesn’t make it right though.

I’m going to wait for the armor that strikes my fancy, no need to buy the crap you don’t even like.

I mean, I do think the price of the armor sets is kinda stupid. But I will say, you shouldn’t be going for 100% collection; that’s not how this game works. This is a game where they have a monetized shop, on purpose, rather than making people buy the game. I don’t personally like it, but calculating the cost to get everything is kinda foolish, I think. That’s like saying “To buy all the Xbox games that are out I’d have to spend thousands of dollars, so why should I even buy an Xbox?”

Before, we used to like completing a Halo game, collecting each armor pieces.

I agree that people aren’t really going to unlock everything, but I still think it’s baffling it costs this much. In the past they could sell you all the content for $60. And I know inflation has been hard, but I find it hard to justify charging that much for all the content, even if not everyone is going to buy it all.
