$100 LE and $250 LCE...what?!

[source: Gamespot]

How is the normal Limited Edition $100?
I can see if it came with something like a season pass that would be priced at $30, but this does not seem to have that.

> - Standard Edition ($60) – Halo 5: Guardians plus an exclusive poster, only available to those who pre-order.- Limited Edition ($100) – Everything in the Standard Edition plus new digital content to enhance Spartan combat and exclusive items wrapped in a uniquely designed steel book.- Limited Collector’s Edition ($250) – Everything in the Limited Edition as well as additional content such as a commemorative numbered statue designed by 343 Industries. More details on the design to be shared at a later date.

How are digital items that “enhance Spartan combat” worth that increase in price?
Only thing that makes any sense would be if the Digital LE (if there is one, and don’t know why there wouldn’t be) was priced at around $70, but then there is the matter of the “uniquely designed steel book” which I can’t see being valued at $30. All of this physical crap gets made in some sweatshop for AT MOST a dollar a piece, and is hardly worth the price it is going with.

Then there’s the matter of the Limited Collector’s Edition…really? $250?! How is a cheap plastic statue worth $150?
This is absolutely insane especially when 343i have not even proven themselves yet. We still have the extremely buggy game anthology and then there is the horror known as Halo 4. Why should anyone shell out that kind of money for one game from an inexperienced dev team?

These details are only a glimpse of the actual content. Wait until we see the full set of details about the editions.

No game is worth $250 lol I’ll preorder the LE and if they announce the stuff and I dislike I’ll drop back to a standard. I’d prefer all the dlc included in that price. Now that would be good.

Will still buy all 3 versions.

jk it’s daylight robbery

Still doesn’t change how a single game is being priced closely to a full console that includes a game.

Who knows? If the statue is really worth that much? We have already seen statues at the price around $200.
Also this Collector’s Edition is clearly for the true hardcore HALO fans. ( like me  )

I love Halo but it’s highly unlikely I would shell out more than $150 for any kind of edition. I may go with the $100 edition. There’s just a max to how much I would spend.
Also, enhance Spartan combat? I hope that means cosmetic stuff and not a sort of “buy to have an advantage” thing.

Looks like the cons at 3fail3 are at it again…

First they sell us a broken game, and now they’re trying to bamboozle us into buying overpriced crap.

Hopefully, everyone has learned their lesson and will not get anything made by these incompetent crooks anymore.

the le probably comes with the season pass which i think normally 20 to 30

When you say “hardcore”, you really mean “sheep” it seems.

If people actually buy that overpriced garbage, then it only shows these companies that they can raise the price higher.
The statue won’t be worth that much, and would realistically be priced at a much lower number.

Asking for pre-orders for something that they haven’t revealed is just asking for trouble. If you’re going to ask 250 bucks for a limited run of items you should at least take a picture and show everybody.
