Try to have the most kills in the world with a particular weapon. Maybe the detached turret. That’s my goal
Just have fun with the game. You know… the whole point of it being a game?
The battlepass fills that role nicely if people that say they play casually, actually played casually… instead, people like the OP focus on completing the pass as fast as possible, grinding like crazy a pass meant to give out rewards over the course of several months in a few weeks. It’s no wonder that playing like this, people feel burned out.
Me for example, I play for fun, have no care in the world for whatever is given with the pass. I try to not even look at the challenges. I play whenever I feel like it and usually end up doing 4 or 5 rounds at the end of the work day, every other day. I’m level 20 something… there are still a couple of months before the end of the season, so it’s likely that I will complete the pass by then.
I’m not saying the current system is fine. I wish challenges didn’t exist since they force people to play bad ruining their experience and everyone’s playing with them.
You can play for fun… if you find it.
The core gameplay is good but damn no new map,no game mode updates or custom match browser and something tell me there SBBM when playing “quick play”. The only update are for the store…
The games just good enough to play for fun if you try to ignore desync

but I’m going to play till elden ring and dying light come out , I’m specifically looking forward to elden ring
if you play a game (any game) just to fill up numbers (battlepass) and you’re not even having fun, maybe you should stop and maybe take a better look on why you really play something you don’t enjoy. might even be an addiction problem, since these games implement addicting mechanics (like the numbers filling up bars)
No.
20 character limit.
You could try playing the game and having fun? Just a thought.
Pop back on for whatever event that they do, but don’t play
I kid you not i had more fun last night on a halo 5 custom assassination game exploring the map that is a strip club (yes) than playing Infinite.
Buy blue from the store.
I find the MCC experience more enjoyable myself.
Maybe try ranked games? Unless your Onyx already?
I can’t believe how many people in this thread approach this as an all or nothing topic. Like, it’s fine to take breaks from games and play other ones. You don’t have to solely either keep grinding Halo or never pick it up again.
I’m currently playing Mass Effect Legendary Edition but I’m sure I’ll run a few mp matches in Halo here and there through my playthrough.
I think feeling like you have to keep playing non-stop is the quickest way to burn yourself out on a game. Mix it up a little.
How about the weekly capstone challenge or the Tenari (however you spell it event? Other than that though, grind to get better or just for fun - if you can still have fun with the various bugs and things going on.
Wise words indeed
Unfortunately, I take too many “breaks” with games and they end up in my backlog. Playing a game to the end credits is tough for me… especially now I’ve rejoined Game Pass with all those games to choose from
Already got Onyx
I think I have like 3 achievements left (1 is bugged, 1 is for a gamemode that’s not out yet, and the other is the Party Bus one - which I was gunna get in BTB, except it’s down). Other than that, I’ve 100%'d the game on LASO and got my H5 152 rank armour / weapon skins and emblem, so there’s really nothing for me to aim for.
Despite having unlocked basically everything in MCC too, the ridiculously long progression is tricking me into coming back every week, unlike Infinite…
So far, I’ve refrained from downloading MCC (back on Xbox One and now Series X). There’s just “too much” content
there that I’d never time for other games.
Flex your cosmetics on noobs. As far as your concerned your all set so you don’t need to grind anymore, outside of events. Just wait until May. Then you’ll get more stuff to grind for.
My recommendation? I have 2:
-
Go back to MCC and do something you actually enjoy on it.
-
Make a secondary account and go back through MCC and/or Halo 5, you’ll find yourself at least having some level of genuine fun with either.
I would assume you would play the game, weirdo. Lol
