either play for fun… or get on weekly
there’s nothing else to do. no progression past grinding for the BP
why play a game just for fun… when i can play another fun game that feels progressing
example, TF2. in my opinion, TF2 is a fun game, but also, it has a progression system. it offers nothing, gives nothing, but that little bar at the bottom incurages another match to be played. it’s the sense of ‘yes, i’m doing something in this game’ call it what you will, but i’d say it’s kinda important. a RANK showing how long you’ve played, putting that per match score and medals to use.
sure, there’s ranked in halo… but that’s comp, some don’t like it. so some just want to CASUALLY progress without having to do challenges or play a sweat fest
a rank progression system like Reach or MCC i’m sure would be back a lot of players as it’s something to do casually. even if it offers nothing in return. just a medal for the fun you’ve had playing the way you want, CASUALY
I mean I do play a few rounds for enjoyment, but, I have been done with the Battlepass for some time.now… it Kinda wish we had a Firefight mode at the very least.
Usually just ay not Slayer, bit without a third PVE mode outside of campaign multiayer begins to get stale quickly.

I predict that Firefight will return (a given really) BUT it will also return with an ODST-themed Armor Core.
I feel like something drastic needs to happen to player numbers for 343i to get the damn message with the progression, customisation and challenges. I honestly think people should just stop playing the game for a few weeks and let the player numbers tank to get 343’s attention. They clearly aren’t listening to the players, and decided to lock down the subreddit a while back because they didn’t like being called out for their lies and terrible development decisions. Mass boycott might be the only thing to force their hand.
Get Onyx In ranked? Idk. I can play any Halo with no goal in mind, just play games win and have funny moments. But this? Besides trying to hit Onyx in ranked, fun is the last thing this game can provide for me

Honestly yea, they gave us a game where they took the stuff we already had another games away, and are slowly drip feeding us that already existing content and trying to package it as New exciting content.
They are going to make this huge deal about Co Op campaign in the sense like they are student turning in a project 5 months late and expecting full credit… Like naw bro you don’t get an applause, for late day one content.
Nothing. You just play for zero reason until you finally realize this game isn’t really actually that great and we’ve kinda been had.

Ots sad when a game like Fortnite that came from a dev with less support was able to put out a more complete game

Upcoming event like Winter Contingency. I think it was the 18th-31st. Then Tenrai returns again, then Tactical Ops event probably at the end of the month again. Fractures seem to happen the beginning of the month, and login events the end of the month.

Just enjoy the game for the game’s sake.
While I do get a nice feeling when I unlock achievements or level up in different games, ultimately I play them for fun.

Another event where you are going to get like 2 peices of armor or something who knows ,but basically by December 2022 given the pace these events give out content you will have roughly a quarter of the cosmetics you would of had in reach already
The game is at best 5 or 6 rounds and move on to other stuff every other day type of thing.
I only turnit on daily to get my daily Play a gamepass points to redeem.
You’re a diamond 3, go for Onyx.? Top Leaderboards in a specific medal, or gold? o_O That season level means absolutely nothing. Its a cash grab in MCC and INF. Ranked is where real progress is shown.

I’m sad for the people that only play games to unlock virtual, useless swag. You have lost the ability to enjoy playing a game… at this point my best advice is to give up gaming entirely and start knitting… there is always more knitting to do at the end.
