100%'d Battle Pass - Now WTF do I do?

I’ve unlocked everything and there’s nothing left to do

I’m certainly not going to enjoy the game

Or practice and get good

What should I do?

Stop playing it.

That’s not even a joke - I basically have.

It’s 2022 - long gone are the days when I used to play for fun. I log onto Infinite to check out what the weekly reward is - if it’s something stupid like an emblem or backdrop, I won’t log back in until the next week. As there’s literally nothing to aim for now, I barely play it. I probably play MCC more at this point.

I pop on for the weeklies and that’s pretty much it. I have a backlog of games to play. I’ll probably be back full time once Forge is out or co-op even.

I can’t tell if this is supposed to be an ironic post or not.
But yea, you’re supposed to play games to have fun. So I think you wasted time if you ranked up and weren’t having fun.

If you finished the game, you finished the game. Congrats. Play another video game if you don’t enjoy this one anymore.

Did you get your weapon emblem and weapon charm for Onyx rank? There are cosmetics associated with ranks you cab grind for.

Also, you may be done with the BP, but how is your advanced jump knowledge for maps. There are a ton of ways to improve your game and get ready for next season’s BP grind even if you’re not grinding new cosmetics right now

All I think of is Cartman at the end of the WOW Southpark episode. haha

“Now we can finally play the game”

Enjoy the game, you’re no longer bound by a grindy progression system you weren’t bound to in the first place.

then…go do something else

now you play ranked :pensive:

You’ll have weekly challenges and event items to grind out each week/event + grinding ranked for the recon charm

If you’re not enjoying the game for the game, then don’t play it. Seriously…

A hobby should never feel like a burden or a chore.

How do I get better?

Only bound to it if you actually enjoy a progression.

If I enjoy 2 different games but one has a progression system but the other does not, than I am going to play the one that does.

Long gone are the days of “Just play it for fun”. That’s all fine and dandy but a progression system has become integral to fps’s and helps give players goals.

The goal for Infinite is to no longer have to play Infinite.

Back in the old days, we played video games for “fun” - no rewards, achievements, or pat on the back. If we enjoyed a game, we played it. If we didn’t enjoy a game, we didn’t play it. It’s not complicated.

You unironically used “back in the old days”… Most games have a progression system for a reason. You think games nowadays can get away without decent progression? CoD is more money hungry then anyone yet always have an extensive progression system.

Well, let’s see… The #1 selling gaming system is Nintendo Switch. The #1 selling Nintendo Switch game is Mario Kart 8.

So, you tell me… Can a massively successful game “get away with” not having the “progression system” you speak of?

Clearly, the answer is “yes.”

Only bound to it if you force yourself to be bound to it lol

That’s ultimately your choice.

Some games force the grind as part of its gameplay dynamic, others do not.

Oooo buddy you couldn’t be more wrong. Plenty of FPS titles that don’t force a necessary progression system to enjoy the title.

Halo’s progression system is entirely optional whether you complete challenges or not. While it does provide some structure for players who want to take advantage of that structure, you can choose to ignore it altogether.

If you want to embrace that goal yourself, more power to you. My goal is to play Infinite to enjoy Infinite.

But… There Is a progression system in that game. Also, you seriously comparing a racing game to an FPS?

Mario Kart also did not have a deep progression system in previous titles so its expectations are set accordingly.

Halo has had extensive progression systems in past titles, so the obvious conclusion would be to expect it to improve in future titles.

The fact you cherry picked another game to compare to tells me you are one hell of a bootlicker.
