I know that some of you like the competitive multiplayer, but for example for the people that only play like a “hobbie” or only for fun is very frustrating the ranking system. I mean, when I started playing I was GOLD 3, yesterday I played 15 matches, I lost my 15! My worst streak in a halo game all because my team. By the end of the day I was GOLD ONE :(.
In my opinion, they have to balance this multiplayer for the original version. I know that some people doesn’t like the sprint mode, but I think that is necessary for new games for FPS. To keep the balance (for this game) my opinon is to:
Sprint like halo 4 or reach, take the sprint out of the game or increase the shields and decrease the time of recharge.
This is only my opinion, it is very frustrating (for me) to play and depend 100% of my team.
I would suggest gathering some people from this community and forming a team online. Team play and communication is extremely important in this game.
I know, I think this game is completely different from all the Halos. I like to have at least a decent ranking in a competitive area. But I DO NOT agree to depend 100% of your team, I mean in a match that I lost I killed 15 guys and die 4 they gave me -18 points… WTF? 
Rank should be based on wins and personal performance. Also people should not be getting to the semi pro and pro ranks in the beta. Increase time to get to high ranks .

Your mistake is playing by yourself. You can have 1000 friends, make some new ones and play with a team. Otherwise you’ll get stomped.
I just prefer Halo 3/ Halo reach ranking system 
It does if you have Assault Rifle Starts only please. It makes the game way more fun. Vs Br starts where it becomes standoffs and strafing over and over all day long and no need for any other weapons. Bring back the AR starts only and forever. I believe this is the problem with Halo now and in the past when the playlists started to have BR starts. You have these hardcore no lifers who play nothing but halo begging for BR starts only. So they can sit back in a group of 4 and shoot and strafe. Well I believe that it takes the fun out of what halo was meant to be. When Halo 3 came first came out they had only AR starts it was awesome and all the weapons were being used then a few months later that they added BR starts and that is when the population started to decrease and it wasn’t as fun or balanced. The majority of gamers play games for fun. Please keep the fun by only having AR starts. I loved this beta at first but since the BR starts it has become stale and boring and not fun and this is the reason halo will keep on dying.

They were nothing alike. Halo3 had a 1-50 + an experience system where u had to win to get ahead
as long as you played halo reach you could get the highest rank without having any skill

I know, but at least you can depend of yourself in both rankings, not depend a 100% of your team.

Haven’t you figured it by now…this game was made by old folk pros for new pros to get rankings and we are their turkey shoot taargets…
this game isn’t even 10% competitive. =/

Bingo! This game is not really competitive, people are just being brainwashed by -Yoink- commercials and the fact that 343i just repeats ARENA and EQUAL STARTS over and over again.

points earned is based on your rank compared to the other ranks. If your higher rank, you should be winning. If your lower ranked & winning they will give you more points because you overcame the ranked opposition. If I’m a bronze & I outscore a gold, ill make bank on points.
