Do you think there will be a reward for mastering all of the game’s 105 (I think) commendations?
If so, what do you think it might be?
I think it would have to be something pretty special as that is a major achievement in my opinion.
I’m glad they didn’t go down the route of the Gears series though and make such a feat an actual achievement for the game (Seriously 3.0 achievement - I’m looking at you).
My waypoint stat for commendation completion is currently glitched and reading 100% but I know it’s nowhere near that - in the game it says something in the 50-60% range I think so I’ve still got a way to go. I’ve currently mastered 33 commendations in total.
I think Mongoose destroyer may be one of the last I get…

That is totally weird, because I was thinking exactly the same.
I think Overachiever will be for 1750 GS, and Flying Colors will be for 100% Commendations. I still think both will need Waypoint Classified codes, but yeah, I think that may be the requirements to get those two emblems.
Although it could work the other way around - Overachiever for 100% commendations and Flying Colors for 1750 GS.
I hope it’s similar to the World At War achievement for hitting max prestige

I believe you said the other day that you weren’t disappointed that the Mastery emblem was the only reward for reaching SR-130.
Do you feel the same way about these two emblems possibly being the only reward for 1750 GS or 100% commendations though?

I’ve mastered the PP and Pulse grenades. I thought I would try and get the hardest weapons out of the way first, so I can then end up playing with the better ones later on as a reward.
I’m currently working on Suppressor which is woefully weak unless very close to the target 
I have mastery on campaign and ops if I get player/war games commendation will I get mastery on war games

I['m hoping 343 will add a gametype I heard about into ActionSack at some point in the near future. Paintball is its name. All you get is a plasma pistol and damage is set really high. (Something like 5000%, though I think 3000% is fine).
Side note: If you want pulse grenade, go play Dominion and defend a base. When a guy goes to cap the base, throw a pulse nade on him. Guaranteed kill every time.

That would be awesome indeed, but I’m not sure if it’s going to happen, take a look at this:

I think the vast majority of people trying for commendations would be very happy to see such a gametype included! It would probably annoy the few people, like me, who’ve already completed it though!

Wouldn’t it just drain their shield? Or would the second pop from it (implosion bit at the end) finish them off?
Pulse Grenades work well in the close-quarters objective games - Oddball, Regicide, Dominion.
My reward - putting this thing back in the box, and playing the older games. Hopefully this Summer.
I know you get the Flying Colors(aka Boot) from beating a 343 team. That is how my friend unlocked it. As for Overachiever it is either a code on way point or 100% commendations. I am currently working on 100% commendations and I am as of today 81% overall.

But how does one set themselves up to play against a 343 team anyway? That’s what I really want to know.

I’m guessing it’s just a random happening during Matchmaking. I wonder if they were all sporting Guilty emblems!

Try playing defense on Dominion. It is amazing how close people get you!
I enjoy the commendation progression. Several aspects of this game frustrate me, and it all stems from the feeling that it’s not finished.
The commendations are difficult to complete %100. An average player will be SR 130 at that point. It begs the question, how did they come up with the xp bonus for the commendations. It’s worthless. Spartan Ops is XP heaven.
About the armor. There’s simply not enough of the right kind. By that I mean, weapon camos and armor skins (that are seen by others on the map). Why did we only get a few (that are unlocked rather early and easily).
While I’m ranting about this, why can’t we reset our rank after 130? Yes, prestige. Keep it interesting, give people a reason to play all day, everyday. The game is fun and could be so much more. Give the hardcore audience what they want: a visible 1-50 and their own playlist. And give us a better commendation system.
This game isn’t as good as it could be. But I’ll keep playing it and grinding commendations. Action Sack, Spartan Ops, Swat, Regicide (easiest for commendations).
And any slayer when I want to go headhunting.
