Well first off, that video is exactly what I said is the only scenario it half works (you standing still.) As for my sensitivity, no. Between the initial launch of the mp beta and now I’ve continually played around with sensitivity, deadzones, and look accel to get it where it feels comfortable of either stupid high accel and low deadzones or a balance. Nowhere along the way, nor the end of slightly above default sensitivity, has it worked when in actual gunplay.
“If you don’t notice then it’s a you problem.” Despite it physically not being there whenever I go to purposely test it every time someone says it exists. Still stops working in gameplay.
And oh god no am I not bad at the game, I’ve only ever been bad at Halo when I was like 8 and on CE, every successive one has had a good balance between controllable sensitivity adjustment and aim assist (not counting the isometrics) save for this one.
Also, we’ve already gone over all the problems with trying to use that as a source for aim assist being good, but adding the caveat of ranked only hurts it more. By and large the playerbase going into ranked is (not counting challenge hunting) going to be playing better at all levels and hitting their shots more. If you wanted accurate data then do what I said earlier and do it in both social BTB and Ranked Arena.
Strafe speed doesn’t really need to change, it needs back the momentum type of movement. Going from standstill or suddenly trying to reverse has you slow and then go back at a starting slow speed. In this it’s instant max move speed back and forth or any direction from stand still.
There’s dozens of videos of people strafing and showing the crosshairs sticking to the opponent. You don’t have to be sitting still. That video was just an example of how strong it is. There’s even a clip out there of xQC literally letting go of the joystick and getting perfect headshots because the AA pulled his aim up as the other dude jumped.
The AA is there. I literally take advantage of it every time I play. You’re either really bad at the game or you’re outright lying (taking bets you’re not even diamond), either way, AA is there and needs to be toned down.
See, you want me to believe all these instances of it working prove it’s there constantly and that it’s broken, but like I said earlier of all the times people show it working there’s x amount more showing it doesn’t. You can’t use one bit of evidence for a confirmation bias when there’s more discounting it. It doesn’t work in actual reviewed work and it doesn’t here.
Also, since you wanted to use the xqc example, you’re just feeding back into the earlier point the other guy (and like four other posts at this point) were showing in that the aim assist between console controller and PC is variably different. Console is pretty much across the board poo for it, minor instances it works outside of combat, but PC is either just as bad as console or broken intermittently by it being godly randomly because it’s overtuned in that client.
And no, I’m still not bad at Halo no matter how much you weirdly want me to be, nor am I lying. I’ve jumped into mp to mess around with the aim assist and see if it’s there after some guy went absolutely off trying to defend it was present by saying the Sidekick was spammable (no it doesn’t make sense) and you can probably guess how that turned out. Spoilers: it wasn’t suddenly there nor overpowered.
Also, ranked ranking? REALLY? That’s like the decade old “you’re bad at CoD because you have less than a 3 K/D” that has never meant anything. And, no, I’m not diamond as ranked blows currently with the server desync issues (getting shot quite far around walls, melees not counting, instantly dying from attacks that are not one hit kills) and the weirdly bad footstep noise tracking. When they sort out those I’ll happily play ranked and then you can screech some other bad reasons at me.
See, usually when someone forcibly keeps insisting someone else is bad at something with no evidence while continuing to say something with more evidence against it than not you can know they’re full of it. Not only do we have you just outright ignoring everything against it or any other random thing you throw out, but you feel disturbingly obsessed with wanting me to be bad at the game. I don’t know if it’s some creepy superiority complex you get off on at feeling good at Halo, but it’s weird.
And they can go ahead and nerf aim assist if they really want, I’ve messed around with it several times (was actually just playing in some Quick Play matches) and I can tell you it’s still not there how you say it is. There’s no magic aimbotting or even really any stickiness of a reticule onto people (and no, my sensitivity is not high.) Not really going to hurt me if it’s officially gone despite not really being there already. Might hurt you though, seemed real proud to get a performance increase off of using a controller.
Ignoring everything against it? The only evidence “against it” is the fact that the game is buggy and AA sometimes stops working.
To outright say that its basically not there though? Literally the only comment to be made is that you’re either bad or lying.

Try turning your dead zones and input thresholds all the way to zero and then adjust the sensitivities to your liking. The default settings are complete trash.
Must not be able to read then, my condolences. There’s been I don’t know how many initial threads and replies from people saying they don’t notice aim assist even being a thing, and by and large the only ones saying it is (for them) are people who have played using controller on the PC client. You want to go say there’s no evidence counter to it then at this point you’re just denying, again.
That clip is, again, showing where it works in stationary, which is exactly the scenario I said it does seemingly half work. (Also the BR is probably the only gun in the game that’s got any kind of good assist, it has unbelievable bullet magnetism so it wouldn’t surprise me if it was the sole weapon that had aim assist.)
And no, for the like fourth time, I’m not bad at the game, nor am I lying. I’d offer to play with you to prove I’m not bad but you really don’t seem like a fun person to talk to let alone play matches with, kind of just radiating the toxic teammate energy.
No it’s definitely hard to believe, as most examples people bring up are with videos showing the stand still follow or the bad stickiness that people go and test in the same custom game friend scenario and it doesn’t work
Probably because that’s the easiest way to show it…

You can literally see his crosshairs being dragged before he makes any minor adjustments himself and most of the time he’s making none. I’m starting to wonder if you even play the game.
Dude we have been over this, it largely breaks during movement, the br is like the only okayish weapon for it because of its overtuned bullet magnetism, and one instance of showing it working doesn’t counteract mass accounts against it.
And, yes, I do play the game, am loving it minus the server issues, needed weapon tweaks, inconsistently broken aa, and the awful monetization. Haven’t had as much fun on a Halo game since Reach.
It breaks because you’re trying to adjust your aim and basically pulling away from it. If you just flick over and stop trying to overcorrect the AA will grab and track for you pretty consistently. Its literally what I do on the xbox and its gotten me to Diamond 3 with stupid high accuracy.
