10 round Firefight?

is this a taboo subject? why 5 rounds and game over? the game is just getting going at round 5, we are all REQing the final bosses with tasteful high value REQS and the game abruptly ends, now what? i just reqd my sweet high req vehicl and for what? to kill whats left for the last few minutes? make rounds 6-10 more intense and let me use my highesr value reqs for a longer duration.

also as a sidenote in the current warzone firefight, do you like the idea if after round 5 is completed instead of hearing ‘game over’, and the game abruptly ends, cortana says "survive* and the spartans now must attack one another and it turns into free for all so to speak and last one alive is fearured in the outro vid and earns an extra 5000 xp for instance?

we all just start shooting one another when round 5 ends anyway!

The reason WZFF is limited to 5 rounds then ends is because you can’t have matchmaking games that go on too long. This is why matchmaking in FF can never be infinite like ODST firefight was. Matchmade games need to end and should end after a reasonable amount of time. If they go on too long, you run the risk of players not being able to finish the games, so they quit, and then quit penalties get applied, and its a whole mess. It’s different for local games that aren’t in matchmaking because there’s no penalty if you you have to leave early.

A 5 round game can potentially go for 20 minutes. I think that’s long enough. My advice would be to play better and you’ll get higher REQ access in the earlier rounds. I’ve had games where I was a level 6 by round 3 which allowed me to call in decent vehicles.

5 rounds are perfect for matchmaking, BUT, I think we should have a offline/custom game firefight that is unlimited rounds, and minus reqs. (Or with reqs that would be cool too.)

10 rounds in WZFF would take way too long to complete, potentially lasting up to 40 minutes.

I can barely stand 5 rounds as is, sometimes by round 3 I secretly wish we’d lose, not that I’d throw a game.

Yeah but the thing is, if there’s a dedicated playlist to longer Warzone FF gametypes, people should know that they need to set aside 30-45 minutes for these matches. Not like it’d be a surprise that its going to last that long. If you didn’t have the time to sit and play those lengths of games, then don’t play them. Simple as that.

If you spawn a Hannibal anything in anything that’s WZFF that’s not Mythic, you’ve wasted a valuable Req.

I think the other issues are your chances of winning go down with every extra round and how much harder can they make the rounds. Is it gonna be easier rounds for the first half and then hard rounds for the last half? I don’t mind hard rounds, but I’d rather not play multiple rounds of level 5 type of difficulties. You would also likely start going through more REQ’s per game as well which could be an issue in the long run.

Woah I had no idea that was the reason?! I now have a new oppinion about 343 my friends that play cod always tell me that 343 just wants money. But now I know they take everything thing in to consideration and is very considerate about the people playing. Thanks 343

That would have been something to consider if most of the People on halo 5 actually spawned stuff into the game, but only 20 % of the People I am finding are spawning stuff into the game. Everyone else are runing around With loadouts

If that is what you have to spawn in to finish the game, then so be it. If you have to spawn in a Hannibal of any sort its because the People in the game are not doing anything

True. On most of the maps you should be on req Level 3 after round 1, to spawn in a ghost to use on round 2. After round 2 you should be close to Level 5 req or on Level 5 req to spawn in a wraith or a banshee to use on round 3. If Your wraith or Your banshee is still in good condition you can use that on round 4, depending on Your team mates actually playing the game, if not you have to spawn something better. On the finale round you have to spawn in a decent req Level to finish the bosses in time. For example a scorpion, Temple or Ultra wraith and etc

This is how firefight should be played. Of course you have exceptions, but most of the games has to go like that in order to finish the game before the time runs out.

The problem about this is that almost no one does this.

What i Call randoms are getting carried to victory all day long. Of course some randoms are playing the game and spawning reqs into the game, but like i said that is rare, very rare.

I think this could be a good thing. Make it a separate playlist though or even tweak mythic so that it’s more rounds and stagger them a little more.

I think firefight has been a great addition to H5 overall but I think there’s still a lot more they could do to expand it.

I used to really enjoy the bonus waves for example where you’d get hoardes of Grunts of Jackals. I’d love that for promothean soldiers. Ramming through soldiers in a ghost is so satisfying.

Mass Effect 3 had a hord mode with objectives and ten rounds and it did just fine.

Nah people having dumb overpowered reqs killing each other doesn’t sound fun imo

Must just be me then, but I can more than easily go into firefight alone and win. Try it in a custom game, test your skill. Firefight mechanics are predictable, unless you play Mythic.
