They haven’t confirmed new grenades. But when you stop to think about it, the 4 grenades in Halo 3 was a waist. In the Halo 3 system you got 2 Frags, 2 Plasma, 2 Spikers (just another sticky) and an empty slot (because actually finding a flame grenade was extremely rare).
I’d rather have 4 Frags and 4 Plasma, than 2 Frags, 4 Stickies and an empty slot.

I think that’s a result of Bungie making bad design choices. The spike grenade and flame grenade didn’t have distinction like the frag and plasma grenades do. The flame grenade was also a console performance hog. There’s a lot of options for grenades that the Forerunners could have produced – for instance, what if they created a grenade whose only function was to make a huge, harmless-to-shielded-people blast that sends everybody flying away from it? That’d be something distinct and useful.
We do already know half of those things. I hope one of the new vehicles if Forerunner Tank. That’d be awesome.
The best idea for the 3rd slot I dunno… but for the 4th slot:
A Grenade that is homing an enemy that you just killed. The grenade sticks a few milliseconds. Then it keeps exploding in a lot of confetti (even more than the Grunt-Party-Skull). Also a Hologram appears (or more) that is/are T-Bagging the dead enemy. And as high point the grenade plays this music of this famous trailer here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x4fMqgiyuko&feature=player_detailpage.
Then the grenade explodes and the dead enemys head will hammered into the ground so his legs move a bit in the air.
Well it has no use in combat but… …
Who asks of the use of this weapon will never understand it… … … 8D

This is directed at Rookie Prime as well.
WTF? Are you kidding me?
“Just another sticky?”
“No distinction?”
Obviously you two were completely oblivious to the fact spike grenades STUCK TO WALLS. They were by far one of the most purposeful grenades in the series.
On multiple occasions when evading a pursuing enemy, I would stick a wall I ran past only for the grenade to immediately explode in my immediate pursues face.
I’m actually really confused. I thought 343i “didn’t like grenade spam,” so that’s why they’re making us use loadouts just to be able to pick up the dang things. But now we can carry 8!?
They better beef weapons more if they don’t think we aren’t just going to play a huge game of dodgeball.

I don’t know how many we will be able to carry, but I think they are planning on not everyone choosing the grenade loadout.

They should plan on people using the most OP loadout . . .
