10 Maps? Let's do a count.

So we know that 343 has confirmed a total of 10 maps shipping with Halo 4, but at RTX they confirmed 3 different forge pallets or (forge worlds) if you will. Do you guys think that these 3 forge pallets count as maps?

It’s already been stated that the Forge maps are not part of the 10 competitive maps.

I think the 10 don’t include the forge spaces.

In my mind it’s 13 maps, just 10 for War Games.

10 map and 3 separate Forge environments. I’d imagine that each environment will probably offer at least 2 maps each at the start of Halo 4 matchmaking so that lead me to believe that including forge we will see 16+ maps at launch. It’ll be very nice to have all kinds of maps.

Well, it seems like we have the question answered.

So we are really getting 13 maps? AWESOME!

> So we are really getting 13 maps? AWESOME!

I know right? Awesome!

I wonder if Forge maps will have a separate playlist…

> So we are really getting 13 maps? AWESOME!

Multiplied by like infinity since the updated Forge stuff we’ve seen so far looks absolutely amazing!

Really? 13 maps? WOW didn’t know that! Awesome! =)

And for Limited Edition owners it’s 19 maps plus the additional three Forge World maps and any other maps made with Forge!

> And for Limited Edition owners it’s 19 maps plus the additional three Forge World maps and any other maps made with Forge!

You don’t get those 9 maps at launch… -_- They are DLC and non-limited edition owners can also get the maps.

> And for Limited Edition owners it’s 19 maps plus the additional three Forge World maps and any other maps made with Forge!

No, you have it wrong. Limited Edition doesn’t give you 9 more maps right away, it gives you 9 maps in the form of future DLC.

As in you are basically pre-paying for the first few map packs. Everyone will have access to them, you’re just pre-paying.

> Really? 13 maps? WOW didn’t know that! Awesome! =)

Indeed it is. This is the most maps ever released with a Halo game along with Halo CE.

You’re not really pre-paying, seeing as how three map packs would cost $45 whereas the limited edition costs $40 more than the standard edition. You’re getting a really good deal, as you save $5 plus you get all that other awesome limited edition content.

Everyone always wants a source. I can confirm that he is indeed telling the truth. I can’t remember where I heard it from but it’s true.

Wasn’t it an E3 Machinima interview?

It doesn’t matter if 3 of the 10 maps are Forge pallets, as long as the architecture that are on them to start are fun.
If they’re not, hopefully they can be tweaked very quickly via the community.

I believe so.
