So in one this week’s store bundles we get our first pink armor coating, and it’s gonna cost you $10, and it’s only for MK VII. If you like blue we’ll give you 10 free coatings, but if you like pink, you’ll get one, for one core, and it will cost you $10. That’s not fair.
Now yes, I do realize that pink isn’t the only thing in the “Cat Lovers” bundle, but it is the only way to get pink at all. Which again highlights the problem with the bundle system. You ever hear of a company called Progressive? Their motto isn’t “Only Bundle, no buying individual insurance”, it’s “Bundle and Save”. Why is the only option to get stuff in bundles that we might not want. That must deters anyone but whales from purchasing items they like. This type of monetization has got to go.
Yup. I see a cool blue coating for the bulldog that is the only thing I want in the $20 weekly bundle. So they either get $20 or $0. I would pay at least $3 for that coating, but now they get $0 from me.
You’re kidding! -_- I’ve been wanting pink since the first flight! And it’s not even for the MkVb! I want pink for but I ain’t paying that much, especially when it’s not the armour I use.
As a whole I hate this weeks store 2,000 for colours not even a armour set this shows they are just going to keep going until people stop buying. Whales won’t stop but only thing we can do is keep putting pressure on ( and by pressure I don’t mean send death threats to them as that don’t help us )
I do agree with you it definitely needs to go the prices are way too high it needs to change significantly and that bundle that gives you the cat lover items really should be about $5 maybe $7 at the highest
But for the colors I think they need to just stop selling them in general it’s ridiculous that they are literally selling you colors like seriously can we just have the same options we do in every other Halo game where we have the ability to pick and choose and mix and match I mean they give us an armor coating that has seven individual slots that you could change the color of but you don’t get to choose what color those are it’s genuinely dumb to make it to where these armor coatings are all locked behind a paywall pretty much
I feel 343i will soon make a huge overhaul for the shop, armor cores, cross core content, et cetera. They can’t keep up with this for more than a month I think.
At the very least visors and coatings should work cross core. Plus we should get at least around 100 free coatings that work on every core. And then they can sell insane HCS quality coatings with patterns, et cetera for money. But basic colors like blue, pink and white for prices ranging from 8 to 20 dollars. What a mess.
I’ve always wondered how the economics of making players pay for coatings and skins work. Especially in games like valorant that charge really extreme amounts.
The re-skins probably take an artist one or two afternoons to do but they charge crazy fees for them.
Surely they’d make more money to charge £2 for this stuff as most people would be happy to pay it.
Whereas as it is currently only Whales buying their skins. Although there are a disturbing number of Halo Infinite players running around with paid skins.
Seriuosly, I couldn’t care less how my spartan looks… I don’t see him 95% of the time anyway. Unlocking stuff to look cool is fun and motivating… but buying it? Especially with these ridciouls prices…
