Last year, many of us, including myself, were watching E3 2011 for all sorts of different reasons, mine being for potential Skyrim footage. There were rumors of a CE remake, but no one expected the long-awaited announcement of Halo 4, marking the return of John 117. Many people saw the release date, Holiday 2012, and thought to themselves, wow this is gonna take forever, and I thought the same thing.
That was well over a year ago. Now, look how far we have come. We are just a month away from waking John. The wait has been long, too long in fact.
It’s been a long journey getting to this point. Along the way, we have seen many amazing clips and gameplay of Halo 4, including the E3 2012 demo, the Forge demo at RTX, and many more. Along the way, we have lost many close to us, making the journey much more difficult if it wasn’t difficult enough already. This has been one of the hardest gaming challenges in my life, second only to the wait for Skyrim. It will continue to be challenging as the wait for Halo 4 comes to a close in just 31 days.
I’m proud of everyone on these boards. Despite the constant complaining of misinformed or poorly informed fans and the topics of the hardship that is waiting, this forum has continued to be a place where we all have come together to discuss Halo 4 and have fun doing it, whether the opinions are good or bad. We have perservered and made it through the boredom, or at least, those like myself who have been bored to death have. As the wait for Halo 4 comes to a close, we will continue to keep this board a friendly place for discussion and we will continue to prevail over boredom and anticipation and the worst of them all, hype.
We have made it this far, just a month left, and we can make it 4 more weeks. Just hang in there.
I’ve been a member of the forums for months now. Ever since I became a frequent user of this forum back in I believe March, I have gotten on this forum almost every day.
Now after all this time, I’m saddened to be leaving the forum behind until after November 6.
I’m going dark. The last month before a game’s release date is chock full of people getting the game early and spoiling every little detail. I refuse to spoil the game for myself by reading such posts, and the only way I can avoid it is to avoid this forum altogether.
Many of you will stay, many of you will leave. Those of you who stay and care about the story like myself, I suggest you leave now, lest the whole Campaign be spoiled for you. I will not be getting bakc on this forum until after I have beaten the Campaign and the first episode of Spartan Ops. howver, I will continue to read the Bulletins, but I wil skip over any part(s) tht I don’t want to know.
You may not care, which is fine, but I’m saying my goodbyes to the forum and many of its users, such as DeceptionCoba and Ozzy Onya. I have enjoyed the many posts both of you have made over the months. Nice sript, Deception.
Goodbye to all of you, fellow forum members. Stay safe. We have very little time left.
31 days and counting.
