Why do we not have a 1 flag CTF option? I just want a reason.
Are you talking about you can’t do it in custom games or are you talking about how their is no playlist for it?

I don’t know they really failed when making the custom games options and gametypes.
because 343 are brain dead, there are alot of playlists that should be in the game but they arnt and yet they keep under performing playlists in.
343i likely never really played Halo much before acquiring the brand. That’s how it feels anyways. Or if they did they were those… “Slayer only” people.
One of my Clan members (Clans being largely irrelevant now that BTB Objective is gone of course) has been right to point out that many of the maps simply don’t function very well as 2-Flags and he’s right: Many of these are so one-sided that we see the losing side quit out because it is in fact ALWAYS the one side losing on those. I forget what the hell those maps are called because let’s face it- They are all pretty forgettable.
After all of this disapointment post-launch with matchmaking I am simply shocked to see very little care on 343i’s side regarding the communities wishes. They keep releasing these random half-cocked ideas which might be GREAT if we were getting bored of the old standards- But we don’t have the old standards. In fact the old standards (Doubles, Multi-Team, BTB Objective etc) were what kept me away from COD. Halo simply catered to smaller and bigger parties while the competition didn’t. And it ALWAYS did stuff like CTF better.
Look on the bright side: If 343i releases Halo 2 Anniversary, we will never really need another console shooter again, certainly not another 343 kick in the balls like this has been. I won’t need to worry about Halo 5 failing us like this, because I will play Halo 2 Redux until I die. Gaming never got better than that and most folks know it. In fact I don’t even want to play Halo 2 with those who don’t know- And that’s gonna work out just fine!
SO much potential and we’re just straight jacketed by matchmaking cutbacks.
So sad. Bring on Halo 2 so we can bury this thing and say a prayer.
If I see BTB: Objective before Christmas I’ll be sort of feeling positive about the future but something tells me we’ll get multiple new ways to play Slayer.
The CTF playlist should have multiple CTF varieties including 1 Flag, Classic Flag, Speed Flag, etc.
