1 armor core for spartans

I think the problem is the customization options and less of the contents within them. I don’t know how 343i thought shoulders, knees, wrist, and chest was the future of Halo design, since they don’t even give any real noticeability besides the helmet.

The only ones though that have a real limit is eaglstrike and Yoroi core. Eaglestrike with the worst colors and attachments, and Yoroi having the best contents behind a paywall. The others, Mark V, VI, and Rakshasha have a lot of features though.

The entirety of Infinite is unpolished, imo the game should have support cut after the next update and 343 moves on to a better project. Keeping in mind that Infinite has had the worst player drop off rate of any of the 343 titles.

If we are to assume 343’s statement of 20 million on launch is accurate, then we can assume that after 3 months when the player numbers were reading between 10k and 15k that Infinite lost several million players within its first 3 months of life, that’s worse than H4, H5, and MCC Launch combined.

Namely because NONE of those games hit the millions at launch.

No thats not accurate. thats moreso 20 million unique players have played the game. but still either way that’s just Bad

If i had to say, stopping support of the game might be a bad idea? on one hand, they should do what Hello Games did with No Man Sky. they just vanished for several months to a year and hunkered down on making the game good and playable, while adding new things to the game. dropping support a year after launch would be shooting their own foot…cept maybe that could make MS see that they might need a new studio for this IP lol

I wasn’t so much thinking along the lines of how different they look - but how different the base shape was…

Thanks.

So it sounds like the MCC took the short cut option. Dressing up the same Ken/Barbie.

Again. No.

Just look at the angst each time a previous armour piece has clipped or gaped. Or God forbid, slightly off centre.

What’s the point of making it available for all cores if it looks -yoink- on 3/4 of them? Or even flat out broken?

Cool.

We know cross core is coming. It’s been slow. But hopefully 343 have their act together for S3 and beyond. It looks promising.

We should know more this weekend?

it was also the smart choice for them and the players, they made it so all the armor can be used together so we can get more custom options. That is how infinite should have done things from the start but they just went out of their way to make it the most -Yoink!- annoying system it could possibly be!!!

here’s an idea! maybe, just maybe, they can put a bit more time into the quality of the armor and not just throwing crap in just to fill in the passes, events or the shop.

They are still working on cross core for most of the items in the game. But there are definitely some that will have to be left attached to their base core because of the varying size and shapes between especially the Fracture ones.

At least I hope they are still working on it. Ever since we got crosscore visors they went totally dark.

I both agree and disagree with this.

On one hand; I agree that 343 as usual managed to find new ways to make the worst decisions imaginable trying to gouge for money.

On the other hand; I don’t think it was because the core system itself was a bad concept, rather that it was just 343 once again failing to realize what basic steps needed to be taken in order to achieve the easiest success imaginable.

The Mark VII should have never been monetized, rather, it should have been tied to campaign progress, achievments, commendations, and a free Season 0 pass granted for buying the campaign. It should have been earned in the exact same basic way as all previous Halo games and completely available day 1. From there, nobody would care if they wanted to sell people the other cores as it would now be paying money for extra content, as opposed to gouging basic content for money.

Don’t get me wrong if Cores were just character slots that you could pick manually, meaning you could have up to like 6 different multiplayer spartans, and everything was cross core then yeah I’d actually like the core system, but that’s not the case.

No. If you only have one armor core it takes forever to switch to a new character because you have tot start from scratch. More armorpieces and all armor coatings should become cross core. But in the current system it’s very easy to switch from let’s say Mark VII to Rakshasa. You can even do it between matches. If you have to build it from scratch that just takes a lot of time.

Unless there is something that prevents this. Let’s say you can make your own pre-sets or kits you can get on the fly.

Wait 343I can listen to their fan base? That’s illegal!
