1 - 50 Return 343?

Any chance of a 1 - 50 return 343?
Since every single day I see both the competitive and the casual player asking for a Ranked playlist and a Social playlist? Makes sense really? Don’t you think 343??

I hope they do something with the ranking system. I am not sure they have the time/resources to change how Halo:Reach does ranks though. I settle for an updat to Arena that shows rank in other playlists along with other tweaks if that is all we could get.

I dont want 1-50 back, it encouraged boosting too much.

Perhaps the h2 1-50, but either way I think arena does a better job, or has more potential at least.

They just need to give people incentive to play and integrate objective games into arena (regardless of what people think, arena is about w/l).

Getting a reach onyx is a lot like getting a halo 3 50, takes about 60 to 80 games with about 50 to 65 wins. It would be nice if it was a little harder to get onyx.

there should be arena snipes, swat, slayer, objective, doubles, and BTB. But sadly, there is not.

All you got to do is look at the Arena population its a fail and doesn’t work.

like I said, arenas population per day is a joke, because every one gets rated in the first 10 and last 10 days of the season to secure a good rating.
They need to give people more incentive to play.

Yeah 1 - 50. They just need to bite the bullet and admit there wrong.

How can you say the ranked playlist has always been low? Are you serious? The competitive community made this game what it was.

No, not 1-50, get something else.

I know right? Reach was the first Halo where rank population struggles. While his ideas are ok, I think the arena name is just too tainted. Lets bring back what worked.

I also disagree that onyx=50. More like 45 and up. Just my opinion though.

Not this. Some players will never reach onyx, no matter how hard they try to improve. Seems a bit unfair.

It’s better than H3 and Reach because it’s combining them both. It is fair because in this case it takes hard earned skill rather than time playing (which turned ranks into jokes, that only represent how long you’ve been playing.) to get to a higher rank. This is something I can proudly stand by. This is how H4 should be.

Some players should get better. There is no fairness in terms of rewarding competition. If everyone gets a trophy nobody will compete.

They should remain completely separate, and not linked. Both the H3 and Reach system are flawed. Combining them also combines the flaws of both. I think that displaying the Arena division in your profile would help solve this. Unfortunately, with H4 in development, I’m not sure how much resources they’re willing to dedicate to doing anything for Reach.

But some people have no interest in that level of competition. That’s all I’m saying. This almost forces people to play something they don’t want to.

I think this is the problem. While I am all for changing the Ranking, system something new if nothing else. I am not sure they will be willing/able to scrap Arena entirely. I do hope they address the ranking system in one way or another soon.

What? No it doesn’t. It forces you if you want to get better and show a higher rank, not just how much you play.
