Firstly this isn’t another thread complaining about the CSR being waypoint only. This thread is about when 343 releases the 1-50 system they need to release playlists designed for competitive, fun and classic play with even starts with skill, teamwork and map/weapon control to win games. The following three reasons are my opionion as to why 1-50 can only survive with classic playlists (They don’t have to be 100% classic). If you have any ideas on what to add to make the classic playlists better or agree or disagree please share your thoughts.
Each match will start on uneven terms, which should not happen for competitive Halo. I don’t want to think after I defeat another player in a duel that I won because I had this AA/Perk/Weapon. Make it BR starts (I’m a DMR user but I hate that it’s overpowered) with pistols/ AR secondary with the replenish grenades perk. It should have gametypes with and without AA’s or make AA’s pick ups only.
In-game join - No, just no. It may be a handy feature if players quit matches, but who wants to join a losing team and have their skill rank go down. Creating matches with uneven teams should be abolished completely across all of hanlo 4.
The maps - Thumbs up to 343 for letting community forgers make small 4v4/2v2 maps.
When their tuned and balanced they should be what we play in competive Halo 4. There should be a constant update (per week) of maps in the forge test playlist and the best should be integrated into the competive playlists to keep things fresh.
Other additions that would just make it better and more competive:
Flagnum, Auto Objective pickup, unable to drop the flag - all gone
Sprint disabled on some maps and gametypes
Instant respawn - definately gone
Flinch replaced with unscoped if possible
Possible Kill cams if they fix them or final kill Cam just for bragging rights.
Ordnance possible gametype specific and balance them so you don’t get incineration cannons, binary rifles, snipers, rockets, fuel rods and beam rifles on small maps that aren’t designed for weapons as powerful as these. Map control cannot be broken because a player was lucky and got an incineration cannon. These weapons should always be on the map with static spawns and to be fought over. AA’s may be good for ordnance drops.
If 343 doesn’t release classic playlists alongside the 1-50 -

Lol oh my… Complain and complain… It’s getting ridiculous… You got your 1-50 ranking system. We’re getting small maps like we asked for. No one is actually grateful that 343 is giving us what we asked for. Not to mention we’re getting our TU.

You should know then why the OP is posting this. You can’t have a skill ranking system in a game where winning is based more on randomness than it is skill.

It’s not based on randomness… If you work well with your team and play wisely. You can win…

Oh boy me and you will never stop going back and forth will we. Yes there is still teamwork but with the introduction of random global ordnance, ordnance, loadouts (you will argue this one with me i just know it), dynamic spawning, and instant spawn team work is either not promoted by these features or in a few cases is hindered (did i miss anything.) While i agree there is still teamwork to an extent but these features have hindered it a great deal.

No, now you can simply run with the flag and 4-5 shot them with the pistol you have. Why need a team, if you’re good enough you can take out anyone with that pistol.

That’s obvious. That works for any game. HerpDerp. I’m referencing ordnance drops here. Now instead of fighting for positions on the map and timing power weapons, it’s basically one team gets all snipers in their ordnance while the other team gets needlers. Don’t give me that “Deal with it, if you’re better you’ll win” -Yoink-. The point of the ranking system is to assess one’s skill, and when say someone joins in the middle of a game losing by over 40 points to a team with snipers and he gets a shotgun, he’s going to be penalized unnecessarily.

It is based on randomness 100%.
When the scores are 970 - 970 in Big team and a random ordinance spawn gives the other team a Binary rifle, they win the game. This happens because of the random ordinance they received making it 100% based on randomness.

As far as on topic goes, OP, looking at it, the game may be fine if your 3 main points are fixed. The “additional” section is mostly game programming stuff that won’t change.
They said they are redesigning the plAylist to work with CSR in that same bulletin. I’m guessing it means a more classic feel playlist. One can hope so.

If they did that, they would have to overhaul current matchmaking. I’m guessing little is actually going to change and we’ll just have a rank.
