The people who hate 1-50…

are the same people who can’t get a 50…

and they are the same people who tell you ranks don’t mean anything…

and they are the same people that argue ranks aren’t important…

and they are same people who are offended by something that doesn’t matter.

And most of the time they are the people who don’t play ranked and beg for double exp grifball weekends or else they play CoD.

If only they could implement a 1 - 50 and some sort of credit system as well… That would be ideal for me.

I actually 1ike numbered rank and wish it would go over 50. But Halo 3s 1-50 was a mixed bag at times it worked and others it was a joke. Think about 2nd accounts, bought accounts, and New boosting accounts made for selling entering the mix. Then you have to count on the xp system for games played vs games won. Ok now if you find a fix to that then what about stuff you can’t fix, the casual player and by that I can mean any of us because honestly unless you play Halo like a hard core single game MMO player then you will want to play other games. So when you come back should you rank be the same if you will not do well or should there be a system in place.

All of the stuff I listed was the past flaws of 1-50 that were heard time after time on Bnet. To me there is no fix, and I am not saying go back to reaches pure non win/ loss rank and arena rest but there has to be a third way. One that works like wining xp vs games you played. And refitting your true rank at all time. Halo is not an RPG you do not level up your self and stay there, you will do bad when you do not play or take breaks. Here is a comparison I am 67 in wow now I can play it every other month but I will still play like a 67 where as in halo I was a 35 ( I might not be good but I love the games ok!) but if I played today my skill will be no where near that. Thats my opinion on the matter.

I loved playing Ranked in Halo 3 but I feel that the 1-50 system as we know it is unnecessary. All that’s needed are good playlists without the gimmicky casual features, and then a good trueskill system behind MM. This way players are matched with similarly skilled players, and they’ll have somewhere to go. And if people want some sort of ‘goal’ to strive for, they’ll have the playtime-based cR system which will most likely be returning.

I’m just looking at it realistically. There are ways to do what 1-50 does without bringing the problems that it created with it.

Your post is invalid, I’m a 5 star general with multiple 50’s, what now?

I don’t hate 1-50 but it was far from perfect with boosters, new accounts, cheaters, sold accounts and region/host advantage. It means nothing in terms of online play.

Can we please all just realise the below and stop posting these repeat waste of space threads?

  1. NO 1-50 Halo 3 rank.

  2. NO Arena Reach rank.

  3. YES, a new system with similar metrics yet to be revealed.

  4. There is room in playlists for ranked classic, ranked MLG, ranked Halo 4 progression and no rank social. All can happily coexist.

  5. We have to wait and see what the new hawtness is, then we can start complaining and/or rejoicing again.

And most of the people who like 1-50 hardly understand how the Halo 3 Trueskill and ranking system actually worked.

If you’re looking for an excellent ranking system, look towards the most competitive game on the market today.

i hate 1-50 because it ruined the game and the community.
