1-50 is needed for the casual crowd

Have you ever been in a game where its a team full of mythics vs captains and warrant officers? Yes there are mythics that blow but generally speaking it shows you atleast have experience with the game. Often such matchups results in mass quitting on the other team or the other team spending most of the game watching the respawn screen.

This really isnt fun for anyone. The better players get bored and the beginners get frustrated. yes some find joy in a challenge but how many people really like gettign creamed during a match. A visible 1-50 is the solution to this issue that plagues reach.

In H2-3 ranked matches meant you went against liek skilled players. If you win alot you quickly left the lesser skilled to have fun with others of their calliber. Eventually you played intense matches with players with abilities similiar to your own.

You may ask “but why does it need to be visible?” well to simply put some players like having a little reward to play for. Just like some people enjoy playign through campaign for challenges to get credits to buy armor to reward their efforts. number ranks are small rewards that reward MP play.

You may also ask “but doesnt that lead to sold accounts and boosting?” inthe past it meant that but there is no reason post Arena that needs to be. A simple solution Is to have both systems running. a number rank for your permanant reward and then an arena rank next to that. buying a 50 could literally mean nothing if such a system were in place. If silver indicated you win about 50/50 it would indicate that you deserve to be at your rank. anythign below would indicate you bought your account or are just bad in which case soon your number will reflect that. There would be less new accounts since 50s would have something to continually shoot for, how they stack up against others at that level. It wold also give people at other levels soemthing to shoot for since you would know how you stand compared to other 45s, 33s, etc.

while others dont need a number to have fun the cold hard truth is that many find fun in halo with ranks. Isnt it only fair that that crowd get that small pleasure? And really if ranks mean nothing to you, why would them being in the game bother you?
