for those who checkout the ign specialization article, it mentioned something about reaching level 50 to get the next specialization. does that mean there are 1-50 ranks that work like prestiging! that sounds awesome if it were true
This 1-50 system you speak of is EXP based, not an actual ranking system. It is simply a progression system.

It’s a progression based system, not a ranking system. H3’s 1-50 is not back. It’s also been confirmed that reenlisting will not work like prestiging. Prestiging asks you to give up everything you acquired and to reset your progression system (or something similar to that) and in Halo 4 there will be no such thing. From what I’ve gathered, when you hit max rank, you reenlist and increase your rank cap.

As others have said, it’s simply a progression system with 50 levels. You rank up simply by earning exp. We still have yet to hear of a skill-based ranking system.

aww, i sorry if i mislead you guys. i was so excited when i saw that. on the bright side, being that you get rewarded for winning, this 1-50 progression is kinda like the h2 elo system.
