I don’t see the problem here. Instead of having Social/Ranked, every playlist in Halo 4 will have a skill based ranking, your stats and skill will be tracked and players will be matched accordingly. Sure you might not be able to see it in game but that is a minor inconvenience in my opinion seeing as its viewable on Waypoint. This should be good news for everyone.
Either way, it’s not in game.

Flaunting of one’s colossal e-peen is significantly more difficult having to load Halo Waypoint and show it to friend’s rather than flaunting it to said friends in matchmaking lobbies.

Though I will more than likely remain in the bottom half, I am happy we are getting a ranking system. One thing I hate about Reach is consistently getting thrown into matches where I am steamrolled for ten minutes by players who clearly have more free time to improve at the game than I do!
Its just something to shut us up. We all know we won’t get 1-50 or a good rank system…

We could say that about every ranking system thread? I want it in game, although I could care less. I’m tired of seeing these threads and want another topic to come up.

It’s something man. Frankie also sort of said that maybe(this could depend on people’s reaction) it will be implemented in-game. I thought you guys said it wasn’t about bragging? I partially fought for the fun of the 1-50 for you guys not so you could brag.
Sounds like its coming out next year. By then my trueskill will be so blah it won’t be able to show me anything really.

If this works out like it sounds, im excited. Been wanting to find a game to take me away from halo 3, reach just brought me closer to halo 3 and now with this possible ranking system, i might actually enjoy halo 4’s Multiplayer

Really? Yes it does. The only difference here is that you won’t see it in game. The number everyone has been so much wanting for to be visible is now visible just not in-game.
First it’s “Oh wow no ranking system in Halo 4, wow that sucks” 343 announces ranking system is in the game.
Then it’s “Wow the ranking system is not visible, wow that sucks” 343 announces it will be visible.
Now “Wow, there’s a ranking system in Halo 4, the number is visible, buuut it’s not in-game. Wow this sucks” Come on.
