Ok so we are having this discussion again?..ok, I’ll put my thoughts into the ring this time.
We see it as 01/17/2012 because that’s the system our forefathers chose when writing the declaration of independence. It’s written in the format how we pronunce the day and month: “My birthday is on January 29th” rather than “My birthday is the 29th of January.”
This discussion is like Americans and British arguing over words that end with OR to us and OUR to them, color/colour i.e. Why did we change that set-up? Because when we colonized we WANTED to be different. We despised the British.
Years later we chose to continue spelling the way we do because it’s how we are raised. It’s not wrong for us and I have never argued with my European friends over xbox over the way they spell, speak, write so the rest of the world’s way is just as right as ours and vice versa.
So we also have November 7th 11/7 and the rest of the world has July 11th… 11/7/2012.
If anything November 7th sounds the best as MC’s birthday considering that it’s closest to Halo releases.
