Its campaign has an amazing story with great characters. There is an exceptional level of customization. Firefight was a blast. And the multiplayer is super fun still to this day and it feels the most smooth to me out of all the Halos before it. 10/10.
I’d give the game a 9/10 for the best campaign in the halo series in my opinion. However, there were a few small problems with the multiplayer such as abilities such as armour lock, and the unbalanced nature of some maps.
The Credit system to which you can either save or buy any seperate piece therefore more freedom and uniqueness for your spartan armor.
Armor effects which are new and awesome to see animations in game on a spartan. Loved that factor.
The negative factor for me is the abilities. Not a fan for most of them, and the repeated forge world community remade maps that were bland using the forge environment.
Overall a great game including an amazing Campaign!

I agree. If it wasnt for the certain abilities i would have givin it a 10/10
8/10. Halo reach was one of my first Halo games after 3. Like 3 I didn’t understand the story at all at the time ( I’m a small brained dunces so that’s on me for the most part). Even without understanding the story it’s a great ride. Multiplayer was great as well though I believe the armor abilities are a bit unbalanced (How in the -yonk- do you use holograms) it’s still a great time. So 8/10 as it is bit older for today’s standers.
probably about a 4 or 5 out of 10. I can’t stand Reach and hate the revisionism it gets.
Overrated campaign that has overstated emotional impact since there’s virtually no character development.
Obnoxious sound design: why does every spartan sound like an asthmatic dog whenever they sprint?
Horribly implemented armour abilities: sprint is far too versatile while certain other abilities are pretty useless e.g hologram, and active camo should never have had the radar jammer effect.
Bloom…what on earth were they thinking here?? If you want to prevent players from spamming precision weapons then just adjust the fire rate cap accordingly, bingo! You solve that problem while also eliminating the frustration of random spread.
Armour lock.
Criminally padding out half the map pool with maps made in forge. The way Bungie got away with this with the fans was ridiculous. Fans were so brainwashed by the overhauling of forge that they were willing to accept Bungie’s lazy map design, and of course all the community made maps added to matchmaking ensured that we had to constantly play on grey blocks all the time. Gross.
Just straight up bad map design. Case in point: Sword Base.
9/10 Outstanding game. The work in this game feels amazing, (yes it may have imperfections) it keeps the essence of a Halo game, the esthetic, graphics and history all of it makes a great gameplay, real customization, funny multiplayer, a work very well done it aged incredibly good.
Its the ultimate Halo experience.
This is pretty close to my feelings. Although I would rate the campaign 7. Multiplayer is one of my least favorites NOT INCLUDING CUSTOMS. As for customs, it’s the best.
