In Reach there was still a little gravity in the space level because the ship was so close to earth. In H4, we should get some completely 0-G areas where without the 0-G pack we would be screwed.
Thoughts??

No thanks, 0G is a novelty, we had it in reach not too keen for it to return.
I hate 0-G in MM
I hope there are NONE IN HALO 4 !!
If they wanted to make a complete 0-G environment would a spartan allow his head to hit the ceiling every time he jumped from the floor? They would have to make an animation were your spartan has to push him self off the ceiling to get back down to the floor same goes for the walls.
Or they would have to make an animation were the spartan goes in a Super Man stance so the thruster pack points down to get back to the floor.
Very surprised by these responses. Why are you people saying no to 0-G when the damn trailer had the 0-G pack? If it weren’t for that trailer I wouldn’t have made this thread. Obviously 0-G environments will be in H4 just by the fact that 343 gave chief a 0-G pack.
Who cares if there has to be a little arm movement to push off the wall.

What? We’ve never had 0-G in Halo. (except with the space combat)
Anyway, I don’t think alternate gameplay types should take away from the overall game. I was excited for space combat at first as well, but it turned out dull and repetitive.
I think some people kinda have these things confused halo reach nor has any halo ever had zero gravity environments just low gravity zero gravity would mean if I jumped up then I would keep going till I hit something. however I think totally weightless environments if implemented correctly could be very fun.
If low-G wasn’t in Halo 4, I wouldn’t miss it.

Well sooooooooooooorry.
Extremely reduced gravity on that dlc map in that room. Combat sucked.
What exactly do people find so enticing about becoming a slowly and predictably moving target?

Exactly.
Personally, all low gravity does is slow gameplay and practically make you a sitting duck. If there was a way to control your direction and movement speed (i.e. a thruster pack), I could potentially see it working, however, as it stands, it’s nothing more than a novelty addition that doesn’t really add much to gameplay. It’s a neat feature, and slightly cool to play around with, but I wouldn’t care much if it wasn’t seen in Halo 4.
It sounds like there will be a part of Warhouse where you go into space because in its description there is an exposed platform you can walk out on. It doesn’t say anything about Zero-G however and could have artificial gravity. The whole exposed thing could just be for visual effect.
It would be cool to see if it’s designed right. With 0g you could create a 3 dimensional fighting space like nothing ever before attempted in an FPS. Who knows, maybe that’s going to be the next big leap. What I don’t want to see is low gravity combat like on Anchor 9 where your only option to get around in space is the slow moving “moon jumping” that leaves you completely exposed and helpless as you count to seconds til your feet hit the ground. Basically there needs to be better ways of moving around than we saw in Reach.
