Obviously thats an exageration but its no more of a deceptive number than 11% is.
When h4 settled in its population sat around 20,000 - 40,000. The hcfp was 19,000 people. H4 sold around 8 million copies.
It stands to reason that most people who know about and sign up for a 343 feedback program are fans of 343. Most fans of 343 probably like sprint.
I dont think its a stretch to assume a large portion of the hcfp was made up of h4’s core playerbase of 20,000 - 40,000. These people represent .0025% of the overall halo playerbase.

And we have a reason to be. Most of the people complaining (Including me) didn’t even realize that their poll existed until it was announced. I say they have an open poll on the forums, and then send messages to anyone who has recently played MCC to partake in said vote if they were interested.
With that being said, 11% is incredibly inaccurate, considering they only held a vote for the HCSS audience, and not the general population, so it was heavily based in a focus-group (A really bad one at that too).

Josh has stated what the other stats were. 11% were against/strongly against, 12% were neutral, 77% where agree/strongly agree. Sounds accurate to me.
I believe the 11% is accurate to the feedback results (which contained the bottom two negative ratings), but I wonder what % was in the middle neutral slot and what % said they liked sprint.
Positive 11% ???
Neutral 78% ???
Negative 11%
I am curious of the rest of the communities distribution on the subject. Personally, I like sprint fine so long as its well balanced, which appears to be the direction Halo 5 is headed.

the issue is the population that they sampled was already in favor of the view that 343 had because the population for the survey were fans of 343.
people will shut up when they do a completely open poll by a 3rd party with a simple question and market the poll properly to ALL

Post a link to the bolded statement. I need to take a look at it.

Correct. “Over 19,000 of you have already signed up for the HCFP, with the average amount of Halo played per HCFP participant clocking in at over 900 hours (that’s more than 37 days of Halo playtime per participant!).”
Doesn’t sound as though they padded the poll of participants with casuals that would vote for sprint thus skewing the results.
Just another example of a vocal minority doing it’s thing.
And if anyone wants to start up the conspiracy theories please have some facts to support your claims. I’m not suggesting that a company wouldn’t fudge the numbers to support an agenda, but I have no reason to assume so without evidence.
And no, MCC wasn’t a lie. It’s problematic launch was due to incompetence.

It’s on his twitter page (can’t link on phone). He did not state the 12%, but those knowing math can figure that out (before people cry out that the quote is a lie).
Fans of 343? Hardly. Fans that enjoy things rarely go out of their way to voice their praise for something. People taking part in the beta as it stood (and not as a demo, but a test for feedback) were not even the sole demographic. The feedback page was distributed to areas criticizing the game the most, and unless someone can prove 343 went out of their way to select people like-minded in their approach, then there is not argument to be had here.
It was a survey. Do people flip out this much when community surveys go out? This wasn’t a vote. It was not a binary decision of “should this blank be in the game or not”.

It should have been, at first then you can have a varied survey.

I was contacted to sign up for the hcfp because I opted-in that I’m willing to be contacted by xbox. Once I signed up for the hcfp I was immediately accepted prior to playing and prior to having any favoring view. Saying that the sample was already in favor is false and is just a conspiracy to avoid accepting that those who were in the program gave the results they did.
Tell me of those 19,000 what is the breakdown of their hours by game.
The problem with their sample pop. is that its sign-ups around the time of H4, so your likely to be getting a population that is more in favor of the style of reach and h4 than across all the games. None of my Halo friends in merica even knew about the poll or had signed up for this HCFP and they were all from the h1-h3 era. So pretty sure that sample pop is bad to start with, not really representative of the entire halo community but just the 343 community.

Then you should have no problem conducting an OPEN poll with a simple yes/no question, done by a 3rd party. The results should come out to the same, right?
Problem is there have been lots of polls and this poll conducted by 343 is the first poll to show favor to sprint. All the other polls have been exactly the opposite.
